HoneyBook, Dubsado or Aisle Planner: which is best for a wedding planner?
It depends on what you need the software to do. Dubsado is the cheapest way to get automated workflows ($525 a year for its Premier plan). HoneyBook puts proposals, contracts and payments in one place, from $29 a month billed yearly. Aisle Planner is the only one of the three built specifically for wedding planning, with design and layout tools, but it's priced by how many projects you run, starting at $49.99 a month.
We checked each company's own pricing page on October 15, 2026. Prices change, so confirm on HoneyBook, Dubsado and Aisle Planner before you buy. We don't sell any of these tools.

What's the difference between them?

- HoneyBook and Dubsado are client management tools (CRMs). They handle the business side: inquiries, proposals, contracts, invoices and automated follow-ups. They work for any service business, not just weddings.
- Aisle Planner is a wedding planning tool first. Its design boards, layouts and seating tools are for planning the wedding itself with your couple, and its pricing grows with the number of weddings you're running.
- Price structure differs. HoneyBook and Dubsado charge the same whether you book 5 weddings or 50. Aisle Planner's project tiers cost more as you take on more weddings.
Which one should you choose?
Our judgment, based on the pricing pages above, not on a test of each tool:
- Choose Dubsado if you want automated workflows for the lowest price and you're happy to spend a few evenings setting them up.
- Choose HoneyBook if you want proposals, contracts and payments in one place, and you'll use its built-in payment processing.
- Choose Aisle Planner if you mainly need tools to plan weddings with your couples (timelines, layouts, design boards) and your number of weddings a year is fairly steady.
- Use two if you need both: some planners run a CRM for the business side and a planning tool for the weddings. Add up both prices before deciding.
How does your CRM affect your website?
HoneyBook and Dubsado both include lead forms you can put on your website, and both limit how many you can run on their cheapest plans. That form is often the most important thing on the page: in our audit of 74 planner homepages, only 25 had an inquiry form on the homepage itself. If you embed one, test that it loads quickly on a phone and asks only what you need to reply; we cover the questions to ask in how to get more inquiries from your website.
Embedded widgets add code to every page they're on, and extra scripts were one of the usual suspects behind slow wedding sites in our tests. Put the form on your inquiry page and homepage, not on every page. For the other common problems, see our 10 wedding website mistakes.
If you're rebuilding your site around a new CRM, see what a wedding planner website costs, or let us build it: we design websites for wedding planners with your inquiry form built in.
How did we compare them?
- Sources: each company's own pricing page (honeybook.com/pricing, dubsado.com/pricing, aisleplanner.com/pricing), read on October 15, 2026.
- Prices: as published, in US dollars, before tax and payment-processing fees. Where a page showed only annual or only monthly prices, we say so.
- Limits: we compared published plans and features, not hands-on use, and we didn't test customer support or reliability. Features marked "not listed" may exist; the pricing page just doesn't mention them.
