Answers that named no business at all, only general advice.
When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity for a wedding planner, the answer names a handful of businesses. We work on making your business easy for those tools, and Google's AI Overviews, to find, understand and recommend. It's part of our Omnipresence Engine: $2,000 for the first 4 months, then $299/month.
AI search optimization (also called AEO, answer engine optimization, or GEO, generative engine optimization) means making your business easy for AI tools to find, understand and recommend. These tools build their answers from websites, reviews, directories and forums, so the work covers your own site and the places they read about you.
Nobody can guarantee that an AI tool will name your business. Anyone who promises that is guessing.
On October 4, 2026 we asked ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews the same 20 questions a wedding planner might ask about websites, SEO, branding and marketing help: 80 answers in total, from US and UK locations.

Questions where Google's AI Overview cited Facebook group threads as a source.

Answers that named the single most-recommended business. The same few names came up again and again.
Besides businesses' own websites, the sources Google's AI Overviews cited included Facebook groups, Reddit, Quora, The Knot and WeddingPro.
Our view: AI answers in the wedding industry draw on a small set of sources: businesses' own websites, directories and community threads. A planner who is clearly described on their own site and present on those sources gives these tools more to work with. That's our reading of this data, not a guarantee.
How we tested: 20 fixed questions, each run once in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and a normal Google search (for the AI Overview) on October 4, 2026; questions 1–15 from a US location and 16–20 from a UK location; every answer logged with the businesses and sources it named. The questions were about hiring website, SEO, branding and marketing help, not about finding a wedding planner, so this shows how AI tools build recommendations in the wedding industry, not where any particular planner stands.
Clear service and location pages, FAQs that answer what couples ask in the first sentence, and schema markup (the hidden code that tells search engines and AI tools who you are and where you work).
The same business name, location, services and links on your website, your Google Business Profile and the directories these tools read.
Getting your business listed or mentioned, honestly, on the directories, publications and community threads these tools use as sources. No fake reviews and no paid "best of" lists.
You get access to your own Google Search Console and Analytics, so you see exactly the numbers we see.
Tell us your business and the area you serve. We'll ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google whether they recommend a wedding planner like you there, and email you what they said, with screenshots and the three fixes we'd make first. It's free and there's no call required. We send results within 48 hours and take up to 10 requests a week.
AI search optimization comes with technical SEO and Google Business Profile work in one plan: $2,000 for the first 4 months, then $299/month. Cancel with 30 days' notice. See SEO for wedding planners or compare all offers on our pricing page.
We can't guarantee it, and nobody can: AI tools decide their own answers and those answers change over time. What we can do is improve what they rely on: what your website says, how consistently your details appear across the web, and whether you show up on the sources they cite.
SEO is about ranking in Google's list of links. AEO (answer engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization) are about being named in AI-written answers, such as ChatGPT replies and Google's AI Overviews. Most of the groundwork overlaps, which is why we sell them together.
There's no fixed timeline. AI tools refresh what they know at different speeds, and some lean on Google's results, which usually take 3–6 months to move for new pages. The free snapshot gives you a baseline you can re-check later.
Yes. It's a short emailed report, not a sales call. If you want help afterwards you can book a call; if not, keep the report.
